The drivers seem to be the most sensible too - for example, this week I had 4 bags of bread mix subbed into 1 bag of a different type of bread mix. When I said to the driver it was strange they'd only given me 1 bag istead of the 4 I wanted, he took the cost of the bread mix off but left it with me! I wasn't expecting or asking him to do that, they just seem to have common sense which some of the others don't...

Thanks for these responses it looks like they are the best going to do my order today does anyone know if they take the money when the order is placed or on the day its picked and delivered?
  • On the day it is picked and delivered. I find if I have a delivery then the payment is taken the morning of the delivery. Hope that helps

my blind friend can only use the sainsbury website, the other supermarkets aint blind freindly and he cant acess them on his own.

also if sainsbury are late with your delivery, they give you a £10 voucher to use of your next delivery. we have joked about getting the dog to sit in the road to delay the delivery!!!
life is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.

You can also choose which items you do or don't want sub'd. So for example you want tate and lyle branded sugar as its your usual but really any sugar will do then you can elect to have it sub'd, however if you only want kelloggs branded cornflakes and no others then you can elect to have no subs on that item.

I quite often do my online shopping with Sainsburys, primarily because they have the best Gluten Free range. I always find their drivers to be friendly and Ive never had a late order.

Im actually getting a delivery tonight from them! :)
Time to get things sorted once and for all......

Do they do a Basics/sainsburys instant mash potato ? i have read on this website i think that they do but i can never find it..
  • its not something i buy, so i dont know
but when i read on here about something that i want, i go the web site, DONT sign in, and seach, it SHOULD come up
THEN sign in, you will see if its available in your area
(not signed in you see lots of things you wont when signed in)

i knew sainsburys did the £10 if late thing, in all the years i have been shopping with them, i have only ever had one, they have obly been late once
asda, i dont think have ever been on time, ok for me as i am in, but for people who work it must be very inconvenient
BUT in their defence, when we have horrendous snow here last year for 11 days, and were cut off, asda were the only ones who would, and did deliver, tesco shut their site and sainsburys cancelled my order, they all see to use vans roughly the same, so brownie points for that
