complaint about neighbour

My neighbour has been making my live hell for the last 8 months - she was reported to the police and was given a police warning! Things came to a head and I had to flee from the house as I feared for my and my DS safety.
Thing is she is a nurse that works at my local hospital and I was wondering if I could have it in my medical notes that I do not want this woman to care for me or mine if we ever needed medical treatment at the hospital - does anyone know if I can do this?

  • I don't know about making specific requests about nursing staff but you can choose what hospital you have treatment at - you don't have to just go to the local one. If the possibility of her turning up at your bedside is really worrying then I'd suggest having treatment at a different hospital. Even if she isn't put on your case you may pass her in halls etc.

What did she do to get a warning from the police? Is her behaviour extreme enough to get an injunction?

Living next to someone and someone trying to care for the sick is totally different. Do you think hand on your heart she would try and harm you if you were ill in hospital?

  • Do you even know what department she works in? She could be in geriatrics for all you know...

Although i get your point, I once had a crazy neighbour who turned out to be my dental nurse. Soon after I realised I switched dentists as I didn't know what this crank might do when the dentist wasn't looking :o

Her police warning was for abuse and harrassment (police have been out 3 times). yes i do think she would harm me hence why I left my home to get away from her.

You can refuse to be treated by anyone.. you dont have to give a reason just ask for someone else.

I refused to be treated by a certain GP at my surgery and I also have in my hospital notes a specific obstetrician is not to come within 100 yards of me.. under any circumstances!

Can't choose which hospital if I am in an accident and have to go to nearest A&E.

How would a warning appear to effect her job though?

She must have to do a CRB check.. would it show on there?

might be worth pressing charges so she has a record if she is working with people and is truly horrid.

an injuction as someone suggested would mean she would not be allowed to attend you if you were to "cross paths" at hospital

I am sorry you have had to leave your home due to this person, but as she has been reported to the police it will be on record and god forbid you took ill she will probably not want to help you anyway.

As she is a nurse she has a duty to care for the sick so I doubt she will want this private matter bringing up at work, don't go out of your way to report her only say to a staff member as a last resort that you prefer for someone else to look after you.

It may not be on the check if she was a nurse before they even met.
