    strider seems good, similar to the rothan, lighter, low saddle height, and cheaper. something i'll have to find out the true difference
  • I know you have said you would prefer a metal bike but Kiddimoto have a seriously cool range of wooden balance bikes - my little nephew absolutely loves the one he got and is hardly ever parted from it.

    Not sure if the seat height is going to be too high for your son though. My nephew is a tall-ish 2.5 year old. They are relatively expensive bikes but it's a quality product and he'll be passing it down to his little brother.
