They have failed to inform you of which Act authorises them.
It is a non-answer in my opinion.

What this one?

The Council is empowered to charge this entry fee under the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act

Seems clear to me.. Ill link the act for you too

Yes they have. I have emailed again asking for specification of the act and section relevant.
Wonder why they sought to bury me in a mound of virtual paperwork!

Here is the reply received today 23/8/11

Since i have not yet heard back fro Barry Davies since his last reply 15 days ago. I have sent him a polite reminder. It seems they are struggling to answer a simple parking enquiry :cool:

Still no reply so i sent a reminder today as follows...

Since we are into the 5th week since your last reply, I was just wondering if there has been a problem retrieving the information (which enabling section of the 15 Local Government Miscellaneous Provisions Acts do you refer to? Regards) or is it the case that the dept is very busy at this time and if so, is there an approximate time by which I can expect the information?
