Is this a council PCN, a police FPN or a private invoice? Also a link to streetveiw would be handy so we can see where you parked.

    Who issued the ticket?
  • the pc who issued it was tcp (town and city parking)

Well you can safely file it in the ignore cabinet along with anything else they send!

I assume pc means private company and not police constable?

So it's simple, just ignore it like all the other people on this parking board:

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=163

    It's not a parking ticket and not a fine, it's a scam.

Read the stickies first (info threads permanently stuck to the top of the forum listing I linked). You want to look at 'PPC letters' for a preview of the letters TCP send out, and then 'WELCOME, please read before posting' which has a must-see Watchdog link.

Then read any thread on that forum view front page of your choosing (except the odd one about a real PCN from a Council). You will soon get the hang of what to do with the fake PCN and the threatograms from debt collectors that follow. Prepare a drawer marked 'scam' to file them all in and get on with your life.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

total scam, completely ignore all threat o grams you will recieve, despite what they threaten you with, in reality nothing will happen,if they threaten court,,ignore as they know if they actually went they would lose hands down.

T&C (THROW away and CONTINUE what you were doing)

They are just another private company with no powers of enforcement and neither have their third parties (ie. debt collectors, solicitors).

Landowners damages would most likely be zero, so the landowner can only sue you for zero, not some 3rd party contractor whom would pocket most of the money if you were silly enough to pay. Ignore them
