Can you tell us which cable in damaged,is it the cable from mains plug to the power supply if so cut it short and fit new plug.If its the part from power supply to the computer then a bit more differcult unless you are handy with the soldering iron.Shame to ditch good power supply just for the sake of a damaged cable.Where abouts in Hampshire are you? as I live on Hampshire /Berkshire border and could possible repair it for you.0

As GunJack says, far more likely to be the charging jack then the cabling itself. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Go see you local independant computer shop. They will tell you whether its the laptop itself or the cable, and also will be able to sell you a replacement. As it has come from a retailer you know, you'll get a guarantee that you stand a chance being to get something from if the charger stops working, and they should also have an idea of the quality of the product as they will have sold loads of them.0

Being a US site it would.
This and other posts made by watchboy look to me like link building in preparation for spamming so I've reported this post.0
