How do you avoid the no show charge?

I booked flights from London Heathrow to Hong Kong Return and now wish to cancel the flights. I know there is no refund on it and they are not transferable but just worried about the no show charge. Do I have to cancel to flights before the date I go to avoid this?

What type of fare is it?
I'd say that the 'No Show' cost is only incurred if theya re expecting you and you don't turn up. Cancelling before the flight means they are not expecting you - so you don't get charged the 'No Show'. You could contact their eService Centre to check. Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!

You may be able to get a partial refund?
I recently booked and pre-paid some flights and then had to cancel due to a change in plans; the refund was only about 1/3, but it was better than nothing.0
