Dont forget to take advantage of asda price guarantee when you can,
I'm doing a shop later of stuff that is the same price or cheaper in tesco than asda.
I will use a £1 walls voucher to get Viennetta so after I get my APG voucher I will have been paid 10p to buy a block of Viennetta:)

Sounds good, let us know what is on your list, I quite fancy doing an Asda shop.

Campbells soup might be one thing, using the MOC.

Also milk. There is a £1 Asda milk that compares with the Teco £1.49 size milk (got a JTD voucher for it at the weekend for a recipt with just milk on it) Might be worth checking mysupermarket for this one.

In my Asda they scan your MOCs and then have to call a TS who has to authorise the transcation

Morning all, back to couponing properly today, had visitors last week, so didn't really get a chance to come on here. Will go back later today and catch up though. Did introduce my friend to couponing and she was shocked in a nice way at what can be saved. Even printed her some of the Dettol ones and went with her to Mr S to get some as she said she wouldn't do it on her own as she would be too embarrassed. Showed her how to do it and think we have another convert :j:j

Only problem was closing her suitcase to go home :rotfl::rotfl:

    Happy reading:)

This is a good one with a nice long date on it. Have to have a look at the magazine thread to see which magazine has the best freebies or MOCs inside!

I am wondering that if you get a magazine from WHSmiths could you use the discount card first and then hand over your MOC? Might be worth a try. Also the last few times my OH has bought his mags from WHSmiths the till staff have told him to buy a newspaper, once it was the Sun and another time it was The Times and you got £1 off your magazine automatically at the till.

Mind you there is always Sainsburys so at least you get some Nectar points.

And there is another £1 off magazines in the Asda magazine if you can find one, not sure you would be allowed to use both though

Right just had a look and House Beautiful, the September issue is the one with the free Ikea double duvet cover set. So this is a good one to get - just have to go into Ikea and not buy anything else or get waylaid by the cafe! These would actually make good presents if you know of someone house/flat moving

I think the "stigma" and "embarrassment" is or was an issue in the past and possibly why some stay clear.
As stated, I only use a max of 3 coupons at a time and would prefer several visits on several days and maybe even to several supermarkets - it suits me, but I love reading of others hitting them with large multiples - good luck.
I do think it (couponing) is more relaxed now, possibly due to the many offers available, mainly online, but still mags etc - it's now just a way of life, like the US.

    KEEP ON COUPONING.

Off for some Dettol and more PG Tips soon - may try for some more cider.

  • That was the same as the walls ice cream a couple of weeks ago, buy 1 tube for £3.87 or 2 tubs for £3.00.
why would you buy 1 tub when you can buy 2 tubs for 87p cheaper!
Not everyone has freezer space or the desire to have two tubs of ice cream available to tempt them. Pensioners or single people? Too many offers are aimed at getting you to buy more than you would do, leading to wastage and false economy.
If paying 87p less and taking home extra ice cream is such an inconvenience for you, then why not relieve your burden by donating the free tub of ice cream and 87p to a family with children who I am sure would be delighted to receive it.

Do you have any friends you can give free things to? If not I'm sure giving away free things will soon find you some :A

If it's cheap I Like it. If its Free I love it!
  • For 99p I'm tempted to bid on it, win it, and then when I get the sellers details - name and shame them!

I've only just noticed the shop list today, and I think in future that is going to be such a huge help, so thank you myrtleturtle.

I'd love to do a round trip of all the supermarkets, but as my best friend takes me shopping (passed test, but no car), and he's quite reluctant to take me round all of them, I'll have to pick the best deals of the bunch.

I'm being made redundant at the end of August too, but one thing I have promised myself is that providing I find a good enough job, I may get myself a little runaround car, so then I can have the freedom to go around where i like.

These forums are a heaven send - they really are.

Government is always looking at ways to make ppl stop using cars but i guess they have a car. I dont have a car either and its sad when i see everyone in my street just popping here there and everywhere and im stuck here. No way will people stop using cars i know if i had a car i wouldnt be sat here now, i'd be out somewhere :-D

Hope you get a job soon :-).

I used to ask my brother to take me shopping but he was a nightmare so stopped asking. :(
