Overnight Spammers

Options
Recently spammers have taken to visiting during the night.

Is it possible to automatically put an account on moderator approved postings only, if their posts are reported more than four times in an hour?

As most if not all of the smap originates in America and the far East it is not surprising that it appears overnight here and as the majority of them are spam-bots even the senders dont know that they are even doing it.
It can be frustrating chasing the spammer round the boards as it seems to take an age for the reports to get acted on, it might help if there were a couple of BGs with the clearance to actually stop a spammer posting early enough so that the forum was not disrupted too much giving time for the abuse team to do their bit. They would need to work some odd hours though.

I've said before about the "1 touch" system we have on a forum I mod
if a poster has less than X number of posts and has been registered for under 7 days
then any mod can ban and delete all of their posts/threads in one move
so it doesnt matter about permissions or what section its in
very handy as any mod of any section/level can stop a spammer quickly
