I have bought Dell PC which I am really happy with. But ink in printer is just about run out after only few weeks. Hadn't realised I was tied into buying from Dell - just did enquiry and could not believe what they want for colour and black ink - approx £45. It is a Photo 924 - any ideas of what else I could buy?0

The Dell A920 printer I got free with my laptop has finally run out of ink! What is the cheapest deal for Dell/Lexmark cartridge or refill kits around at the moment?
TIA

The big printer companies like Canon, Epson, and Hewlett-Packard, offer their own complete lines of inks and papers. And it’s no surprise each manufacturer claims that you'll get the best results when you use their paper and ink. They even claim third party products will void your warranty. This is not true!
Their photo printers are typically designed to work by using inks and paper to yield the best results. Using cheap office supply paper with your inkjet printer, may cause the ink to spread too far into the paper before drying, which causes bad colors, lower print resolution, and a dull image.0 -

This isn't a plug for a business you have any involvment in is it by any chance ???? :rotfl:
If you are printing photos you obviously use a photo quality paper, be it gloss, matt or quick drying or whatever ...
The cartridges for some of these inkjet printers nowadays cost more than the machines. I always recommend to people to buy a cheap and cheerful mono lasrer printer, where you can get 3000 pages output for anything from £35 for OEM cartridges, to less than £20 for remans.
As for paper quality, standard office paper is designed for copying usually and is bought on price. For the better quality general papers there are better grades and heavier weights available.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I realize that the Dell T0529 trial cartridge contains less ink than the regular Dell T0529 cartridge, but is this because the trial version has a smaller tank or is because it has the regular size tank which has been only half filled? Thanks to any body who will respond. Arthur0

Reading this is interest, I've got a Dell printer, and getting fed up paying £20 for 1 Cartridge. Does the Lexmark thing still work in Dell printers, and if so, can anyone tell was Lexmark cartridge would fit a Dell All in One printer model V105?0
