Combi Boiler Flow Rate - Help Please!

Hello, need some advice on combi boilers.

Just bought a small country cottage and looking to run 5 radiators, 1 bath and 1 shower unit off a combi.

The incoming water pressure is around 10 litres per min flow and 4 bar.

My plumber seems reasonably confident this will work but I’m not totally convinced.

Can anyone advise on if it’ll work and what would be the best combi boiler?

You can't run both a bath and shower off any combi simultaneously regardless of flow rate, pressure or output.
When a combi has a demand for hot water, the flow to the CH circuit is interrupted anyway, so the no. of rads is not relevant.

If that is the maximum flow you can get, or hope to get, then you will not need anything more powerful than a 24Kw combi. They give around 9-10 l/m hot water.

the pressure is ample for a combi, the rads. are usually operated at about two bar.
the life of a combi boiler is about ten years then they become uneconomical to repair.---hard to say which is the best, but the very cheap ones are usually problematic, so go for a mid range.
bear in mind that your plumber must be gas council registered for the guarantee to be effective, he has to put his reg. on the form you send in when you send in your warrantee papers to the maker.
