Why Don't People get the word "IGNORE"?

Options
I just dont get why people dont get the message-IGNORE.
How many stickies, threads, posts etc does there need to be saying "ignore" for people to get the message? Why is it someone new will post on a thread where everyone has said ignore,"should I ignore"?

Your situation is not "unique",it doesnt matter if your elderly relative has no legs,3 legs or cant walk 2 inches-it makes no difference-blue badge, green badge, purple badge, displayed, not displayed,40ft badge-it doesnt matter.

Why do you need "reassurance"?, theres thousands of threads telling you nothing will happen.
You will NOT get a CCJ unless the PPC takes you to court (very, very unlikely),you lose (very, very unlikely) and then you dont pay.

I dont want to put people off posting but the only reason that anyone would need to post is if court papers turn up (stamped) or if its a council ticket.Theres no point in appealing either-PPCs dont "do" appeals all they want is your hard earned.

Why can't you just IGNORE those threads that obviously irritate you so much?

only an idiot would make assumptions about their situation, they should ask advice and get as much information as they can, then they are better placed to make an informed decision about what they want to do

But there are no assumptions-the message is in black and white all over this forum.

It's because people are worried about their own specific circumstance. It's because people are losing their jobs left, right and centre. It's because those people who do have emplyment realize that money is tight and many people can ill afford to pay someone a lot of money who have no power to demand a lot of money. Regardless of what you may think my friend many people find not only advice here but solace and reassurance when this kind of worry can make some people ill, or worse.

    :T good post !

Yes its sometimes a ball ache responding, everyones circumstances are different so theres need for reassurance. If the op's need reassurance even after reading other threads and stickies then we are here to hopefully give them the reassurance and sometimes courage to enable them to ignore the ticket they got.

Agreed. I don't mind responding to newbies with the same advice over and over, it only takes a couple of minutes.
Every new poster who takes our advice is another nail in the coffin of Perky, Peter Hasbeen etc.

Because people are easily scared and intimidated because they've been trained to obey 'the law' throughout their life and the PPCs tend to misrepresent their fines as lawful. And so they worry.

It's human nature and you're not going to change it.

Another trick that many PPCs pull is in their choice of name. This is to try and fool people into thinking they are dealing with some sort of official body. Here are just some I have found:-

    Civil Enforcement Limited
    Central Ticketing
    Car Parking Partnership
    MET
    National Clamps
    UKCPS (Crown Prosecution Service?)
    UK Parking Patrol Office
    Parkforce
    Legal Parking Enforcers
    Valid Parking
    National Parking Management
    County Parking Enforcement Agency

    Plus two debt collectors:-

    Court Proceedings Ltd
    Judges Demand.
