Prudent ,a really lovely site up in Berwick (near the Scottish border) is Haggerston castle.Prudent wrote:Looking forward to this starting. Does anyone have any recommendations for sites in Scotland / North of England. I want to go early April or mid May.
It is in a brill position for days out (lindsfarne ,Edinburgh etc) and is v.picturesque built around a huge lake with swans and boats.
Also loads for kids to do on site.
We went last year on a 9.50 hol and it is one of the best I have been to .
I could also name some to avoid!
Maybe we should start a thread of sites to recommend/avoid.

in sussex you got camber sands and my sister has been there twice with her kids and says its nice. nice an close to Hastings which does lovely shellfish on the front and there is a sealife centre and lots of fish & chip shops. also a cable car that goes down a HUGE hill. i think they chose the one without the service charge.

havent done any in kent but i have done clacton in essex lolIt only seems kinky the first time.. :A0 -
