The house next door appears to have been split into 4 flats and everything that has sold recently on the road is also flats. My guess is that they intend to convert this house into flats too. One of the neighbours (56a - 1 bed) sold for £228k last year which would give them around another £450k to clean, convert and sell the house again. Even I could turn a profit with that! Or they may choose to convert & rent as they apparently own 10 other properties. A 1 bed on Fonthill Road is available for £250pw.
Plus they claim they were refused entry by the previous owners. You can see what appears to be junk piled up against the front window on Streetview and a peer through the letterbox would let you see the stairs (and sample the "atmosphere") so it can't have been that much of a surprise to them.
I think what we have here is some people seeking their 15 minutes.
SPCome on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.0 -

Considering I'm not a fan of modern interiors applied to older buildings, I actually quite like this mix of old & new......I can even tolerate the bare stone internal walls (that I normally hate) and have taken quite a shine (lol!) to the gilded wall (pic 3).......oh yes and *spot the (rather large) dog*

Lovely house :T. The problem with a chapel conversion is that often there is no garden. This one does (I assume, from pic 9) and where does the terrace/balcony on pic 1 fit in? No mention in rightmove or particulars, I'd expect better info for that price.
OP - please view and report back.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Streetview's good too
On streetview, a bit further up 'Morris Avenue'
* Confederate flag check
* Car in garden on bricks check
* CB aerial check
Although to be fair, where else in the country can you buy your own bungalow by the sea, 2 mins from a superb beach for less than £100,000.
True, many of the bungalows are built raised high on 'stilts' of concrete breeze blocks due to the flood risk. But don’t let that put you off.
(Google the 1953 North Sea flood. 37 people died in Jaywick)Back off man, I'm a scientist.
Daily Mail readers?
Can you make sense of the Daily Mail’s effort to classify every inanimate object into those that cause cancer and those that prevent it ?0 -

I like this house as well. It took me a while to make sense of picture 8, I thought it was a beach at first! Does the pool have a wave machine? I also think the chair and splashes on the floor make it look a bit sinister, like a scene from a horror film! Might just be my overactive imagination though :rotfl:Mortgage received 21/12/2018

Current mortgage - £260,276
