"With a nostalgic glimpse of an earlier life style the property offers an individual period home," according to the estate agent. Picture 4 and 7 are especially "individual"!!

This ex-council flat caught my eye yesterday:
http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-20084634.html
1 bedroomed flat on the 2nd floor, on for £65,000. Looks like it is/was owned by an older person who can no longer cope with the 2 flights of stairs or living independantly.Very old fashioned carpet and some central heating with exposed copper piping that has been added some time later.
Probably owned by the same tenant who lived there since the flat was built in the mid 1960s (or possibly 70s) and bought the flat under right to buy as soon as he or she could.
This might account for the wooden kitchen, which appears to be the 1960s original, probably would have been replaced for free in the 1980s or 90s if he/she was still a council tenant:Generation Rent0 -
