Hmm seems they forgot to put in a bathroom...

That's how houses used to be. Tin bath in the kitchen. You're lucky that the loo isn't an outside one.
I guess that's why it's cash buyers only - it's not mortgagable.0 -

How on earth do they use the cooker hob as the cooker looks like it's under a shelf with a microwave on top.
The kettle on the draining board is not much use if they can't to the cooker hob!
EDIT: I've also just noticed the book on the plank over the bath! Doesn't look like anyone relaxes in the bath reading!
I don't think there was a "they," just a "him," who had technical interests and probably a reasonable level of competence years ago.
It's interesting that the train room is the most tidy and organised. He obviously still had priorities.
Oh, and you missed the box for the Russell Hobbs mini hob in Picture 11 which may, or may not, explain the microwave's positioning.0 -

I laughed when I read that the front garden has already been 'cut back' but then I looked on the streetview..... There's a car hidden under all the bushes!
Fantastic  Reminds me of a house we used to own in Hampshire. Prior to us buying it was laid out as four flats......when we viewed it you couldn't get into the 65' x 35' rear garden as the brambles were up to shoulder-height. When we moved in and cut it back we discovered all manner of stuff including a large wheel-like picnic table and chairs standing on its end but completely buried in the undergrowthStill, it will make a good project for someone with a bit of vision - ours turned out to be the best investment we ever made
Mortgage-free for fourteen years!
Over £40,000 mis-sold PPI reclaimed0 -

Ah, yes, the box would explain it. I did miss that.

Similarly, 3 months into our ownership, the brushcutter hit something solid and we discovered two 15' pig arks.
I'm still trying to discover when and how a telegraph pole was erected on the property without the previous occupants' knowledge. There should be a worthwhile wayleave payable once Openreach agree that it's here.
I agree the Torquay house looks a decent proposition. I bet the neighbours will crack open a bottle or two when the sale goes through!0 -
