I think the bathroom is in a room which is lower than the rest of the house, has steps going down into the bathroom, If that makes sense

I agree, i think the bathroom is in the cellar.

No, if you look at the satelite map view you can see the house is slightly L shaped (longer on the right as you look at the front door). I agree that the bathroom is lower than the rest of the house and you step down into it. Either it's on the first floor, and over the "cellar", or else there's a flying freehold and it's over part of next door, or it could be ground floor and part of next door is over it. Hard to tell, although on street view the terrace opposite is a back-to-back and the rooms on the "bathroom" side are lower, so my guess would be cellar with bathroom over.

My sister lived in a back to back like this in Leeds, but the bathroom had been put in bed 2 and an attic conversion was bed 2 *shudder* Horrible place.

The bath is probably tucked away under the staircase on the ground floor, with 3 or 4 steps down.
