Can anyone make sense of this? The bath looks to be at the bottom of a staircase, even the skirting board makes it look that way but obviously I'm missing something.

I guess technically it's a six bed detached...

I think the bathroom is in a room which is lower than the rest of the house, has steps going down into the bathroom, If that makes senseI don't think this flat looks too bad. Although I would be very put off by the bathroom - it appears to open directly into the kitchen?
I'm put off by the price! I could never afford that on my ownAspiring to be financially independent.... from my parents!0 -

No, if you look at the satelite map view you can see the house is slightly L shaped (longer on the right as you look at the front door). I agree that the bathroom is lower than the rest of the house and you step down into it. Either it's on the first floor, and over the "cellar", or else there's a flying freehold and it's over part of next door, or it could be ground floor and part of next door is over it. Hard to tell, although on street view the terrace opposite is a back-to-back and the rooms on the "bathroom" side are lower, so my guess would be cellar with bathroom over.
My sister lived in a back to back like this in Leeds, but the bathroom had been put in bed 2 and an attic conversion was bed 2 *shudder* Horrible place. They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -

Mind you, if you want a similar thing but with 7 real bedrooms
http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-30816880.htmlCome on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.0 -

The bath is probably tucked away under the staircase on the ground floor, with 3 or 4 steps down.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
