You mean it can never be worth living in the North, even for that house? I wouldn't have expressed it so strongly myself, but you're entitled to your views.[/QUOTE

Sorry - you are an amazing contributor to this board but London is a cold, alien place. I have been but will not go again - I cannot feel comfortable in what purports to be the capital of my country and that makes me very sad:( But I cannot take seriously this sort of comment from anyone who lives there."If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together... there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we're apart... I'll always be with you. "

Hey, Chrissie, I sympathise with you. My ma always said that there's nowhere lonelier than a big city. My uncle and aunt came to this country from abroad before the last war. They settled in Sheffield, and they were warmly received by the local community. Sheffield is a lovely city, right on the edge of the Peak District. So, ofc, there's a lot to be said for living in the North. Don't take any notice of my little jokes - there's no malicious intent. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
