It just seems like it would smell in there to me. God knows what some agents are thinking when they are taking these pictures and not standing there saying 'I can't take a picture of it like that'

That's lovely - York's one of my favourite places too I can deal with the odd union jack cushion, it's the tatty nylon St George's flags that get put up, and left forever. I used to live in a place where my neighbour-across-the-road put one outside their house for the world cup and then left it there getting grottier and grottier. Drove me wild, and I had to resist the urge to nip across the road in the middle of the night and just snip the moorings ...

On the train on my way to/from work in London, I pass a flat that has a flag of William and Kate to commorate the wedding - it's still flapping about now!

Does anyone else play a game in their head whenever they go on Rightmove, by covering up the location of the home and then try to guess where in the UK it is? This one I got right, finally...( £300k for a bit of a sh1thole, can only be Surrey.)
