Even at 28k I think the EA ought to give a floor plan and some info about room sizes.

Even at £28k it looks expensive, compared to some done up versions at £50k.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

How do EA fees work on a house like this? EAs where I live charge around 1% of the sales price. So for this house that would be £280. Once you’ve taken into account costs, overheads, tax etc it isn’t much!

They may have a minimum charge.

A local agent here in London told me that the total cost for him taking on a new property is several thousand pounds.

    Absolute steal!

Ashington went Tory this week so gentrification is just around the corner..... after we 'get Brexit done' that is.;)

By the way, must one have attended a posh private school to produce a literary masterpiece like "Get Brexit done?" At my lousy council-run school, one of the first things my English teachers advised, was to avoid the words 'get' and 'got.'

Ashington stayed Labour. Ashington is not in Blyth Valley which went Tory. ;)

Pattinsons are one of the more dodgy/rip off agents in the area. They will agree a price to sell but that won't reduce even if you reduce your asking price. They will also charge you £300 or so if you take it off the market or sell with another agent.
