Yes, it's very dated and someone needed a little extra support in the bathroom ( note, no stair lift though).
But they at least were able to live in their own home til the end and not go into a care home, that would have been more depressing.

Home made maybe? The bottom section looks like it started life as an aquarium stand, I used to have one a lot like it when I kept tropical fish.

It looks like a very well loved home. But very sad to see all of the personal stuff in there. I used to live in the next village along from there.

I believe it's a tortoise table. For indoor tortoises that need heat.

I saw one of these at a viewing.

Frightened the life out of the EA when we heard rustling off in a corner table! It had a heat lamp, greens, etc.

Lovely little tortoise. I think it helped sell the house a tiny bit as it made the place much more memorable among the other 15 we saw!:D

Rather dated but it all looks clean and very comfortable. I'm inclined to think if they got to live out their days in their own surroundings and belongings they would have been quite content so don't find it in the least depressing.

Also a serving hatch in the kitchen ... but it doesn't appear in the dining room.

Nice house though - not mucked about with, and they could leave some of that 70s furniture too as it's coming back in.
