Pic 2. I hope that bath in the kitchen isn’t plumbed in.

I wonder why it’s quadrupled in price in 4 years? https://www.kentonline.co.uk/medway/news/no-1-the-thames-back-46892/0 -
This has potential for a very foolish Grand Designs project

Yes, it does seem a wee bit overpriced despite the provenance. But it is gorgeous I think. Love those doors and the fireplace...
Actually, reminds me a bit of a bungalow we viewed once- built in the same era and just about completely un-modernised (it was a probate sale following the death of a lady who had lived there all her life. I think it was her parent's home originally). Like a time-warp.0 -

We had a bath in the kitchen in our council flat (no bathroom) until we were moved out early 70s for modernisation. When not in use it had a hinged top cover to be used like a table.0 -

SPCome on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.0 -

Our house was designed 1939, but built 1946. Or at least completed 1946.
It had a bell indicator in a polished wood case. In fact I still have it in a cupboard. I keep wondering what to do with it.
My parents' house, which was built in the 1920s had bell pushes in the downstairs rooms. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

I know; some of it is so modern and occasional other bits are really old-looking. An interesting justaposition of styles.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0
