Agree with that, I would also never have a patterned and/or dark coloured ceiling.
Putting aside the the questionable decor I quite like this one, I love the period fireplaces and the (what I assume are) solid wood floors, I also think the exterior of the property is attractive, although I would tone down the porch a little.0
