Just had a look on Streetview for the property and 10 years ago, there was scaffolding up and nothing done since then.

Breaks my Big Rule about decorations and furnishings. 'Never have more than one pattern in a room.'
Personally I prefer to have no patterns at all in most rooms, so I doubt I would feel anything other than gravely oppressed in that house....

Agree with that, I would also never have a patterned and/or dark coloured ceiling.

Putting aside the the questionable decor I quite like this one, I love the period fireplaces and the (what I assume are) solid wood floors, I also think the exterior of the property is attractive, although I would tone down the porch a little.
