Despite the 1970s calling and asking for their interior back, I think there is some lovely original character under all the frills and furbelows.
Once the chintz has been consigned to the bin, painting all those acres of pine cladding in a light colour would make a dramatic difference.

In my experience of small hotels, owners may have a house/flat some place else nearby to avoid the Basil Fawlty effect!0 -
