This house is only 10 ft 8 wide, and:
this one only 10 foot wide!

Both decently-done houses per se that I like - though, if I were the owner of house 1, I'd assume the nearest garage was mine and would be after buying the farthest garage.
But they do rather prove my theory of "The more remote the house and/or the worse the weather - the bigger the house itself has to be to compensate". In those areas one could manage better with a smaller house - better weather and more facilities and thus better able to just use the house as "a base" - rather than regarding it as "a home one stays in a lot".0 -

Not sure whether I love or hate this crazy house! but I guess the clue to its interior decor came with the first photo...

After the last 2 houses - ie my taste - I looked at this one and thought "Well they won't be selling that one to anyone with Southern English tastes will they?".

Can't quite figure this one out - appears to be a collection of small rooms attached to the side of a larger house, with two front doors (unless the white door is the back door).
That's a nice little house and the owners have certainly made the best of it with their furniture sizing and placing but "Cheapside" it is not!

Ah yes, those uncouth Northerners with no taste. Perhaps we could build a wall?moneyistooshorttomention wrote: »After the last 2 houses - ie my taste - I looked at this one and thought "Well they won't be selling that one to anyone with Southern English tastes will they?"

The trouble, Dave, is that the existing wall is (a) in need of repair, not having been satsfactorily maintained for several hundred years and (b) is in the wrong place, being far too far north of Watford gap.0
