Going by the shape of the roof I'd say the front section was a later addition, although I can't think of a reason why they wouldn't have added to the ground floor too.0

No bathroom serving the upper bedrooms, the weird dining room with shower room off set-up and utility too far from the kitchen for my liking.....and that's just for starters!
Not keen on Worthing/busy road location though.....
I agree with everything you say: why on earth would you put a shower room/toilet in the dining room and no bathroom for the upstairs bedrooms...very odd.'I'm sinking in the quicksand of my thought

Personally i might have neutralized the garage door:

Given it's called "The Old Stores House" I presume it made more sense when it was in commercial use.NaughtiusMaximus wrote: »Going by the shape of the roof I'd say the front section was a later addition, although I can't think of a reason why they wouldn't have added to the ground floor too.
Planning application here to fill in the ground floor bit, and with a historical plan: http://www1.arun.gov.uk/aplanning/OcellaWeb/planningDetails?reference=WA/39/17/HH0

I wonder how many times the patio door glass has been smashed by a poorly aimed football.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0

EDIT; and is that a hot tub in garden? That would have to go...
Do you mean the people in the house behind might spy on you?
Oh, I know there isn't one there just now, but it looks like a potential infill plot from where I'm sitting! 0 0

I hadnt spotted that - but would be a valid point imo - given my default setting is "Back gardens should be private" (errr...yep....my own is a headache about making it be as private as possible).
But I got rather offput anything like that on reading articles about bacteria levels accummulating in them if other people are using them too - and that's their whole raison d'etre isnt it? Add my personal dislike for them....and that's a no then....
I would lurve a sauna inside a house though - and so few British houses have them.....0

I can identify with that as our current house is not a looker from the lane - butt-ugly in fact - yet it's stunningly pretty from the garden side.....the side that's rarely seen, lol! When we bought it, it was actually one of the things that attracted us. Visitors usually get the 'wow' factor when they see it for the first time
It certainly wouldn't put me off viewing, although I guess it won't appeal to everyone.
 I actually quite like it.0
