probably the wrong thread for this but didn't seem worth starting a brand new one - pic 4 of 11, does anyone know what material this type of carpet is? I've seen it in loads of property ads, particularly new builds, and really want to get some for my bedroom- but can never seem to find it anywhere...

It's colloquially known as velvet carpet - if you put that in to google you'll get plenty of hits.0 -

According to the property description it's "crushed velvet carpet".
If you let Google be your friend you'll find this

And check out the fisheye bend in pic 17!
Pic 19, the bathroom you'll never have to clean.
Pic 20 really highlights the worst extension design in the country surely.
My then in-laws had one that colour. It was the bathroom that was never clean. Every water drop left a mark. You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friend's nose.0 -

Hopefully, they'll take the carrion with them when they leave. That's a really lovely house, and by London standards it seems to be amazing value.
Until I saw this equally lovely house for £100k less! http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-46424457.htmlNo reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
If they think that's Britain's rudest address they're very naive.
Shitterton in Dorset trumps it IMO, because it means exactly what it says on the tin. (bucket?)
Locals there got so fed up with people stealing the road sign, they had one made in stone. It weighs about a tonne! :rotfl:

How? Just how? - does a house get to be like that.
That's got to be a good example of how so many people apparently "live in their own little bubble" and haven't got the foggiest/don't want to know about what is Out There.0 -

You'd think so, but that glass boomerang is so out of place, right at the entrance to a historic village and across the rd from some ancient buildings. I wouldn't be surprised if a lack of permissions is causing a spanner in the works, AND it's in the middle of a graveyard!0
