I'm perplexed by the toilet in pic 8... is it really in the middle of the room? Doesn't seem to back onto a wall or anything - although it does in the floor plan.

Well it's supposed to be healthier to squat rather than sit when doing our business. Maybe this is the only house in the country that's got a bathroom that takes that seriously.

Although if you want to shamefully go to the toilet in a traditional old-fashioned 20th century way, you can always use the secret passageway to the "traditional" toilet behind the bookcase.

Whew - properties must be expensive there then!

That missing bathroom sink space/no central heating and there isnt actually any kitchen in the kitchen (ie just one cheap/badly-fitted floor unit - but the rest of "a kitchen" is conspicuous by its absence).

Well if I were in the market for emigrating to Edinburgh, I'd certainly consider that one. Kitchen and bathroom are both fixable - well the kitchen is and On the basis of the plan, I don't see why the bathroom space can't be rearranged by taking the wall to the right down in order to give more space.

Lots of space for your money, I think it's a nice location, but since I know nothing of Edinburgh property values, I have no idea whether it is overpriced or not.
