I can't scroll up now as the picture is there and hysterics are not encouraged at work
Not sure why it tickled me so much but it did - Why oh why would you put that as the 3rd most important photo when trying to sell your house?
My addition.... looking through it looks like a normal looking place until (pic 6 sneak preview and then pic 12)

Well, someone may be laughing..... all the way to the bank:
SERVICE CHARGE Currently stands at around £3,419.40 per annum (£284.95 per month) which sum includes the costs of buildings insurance, general repairs and maintenance to the buildings and all communal areas, communal electricity including the lifts, communal heating, the emergency call system, the services of a resident estate manager and use of the laundry room.
RESALE CHARGE Please note that under the terms of the lease the freeholder (Retirement Properties Limited) are responsible for the re-sale of the property. On the re-sale the owner of the apartment must reimburse 5% of the sale price to Retirement Properties Limited (RPL). RPL will pay for and instruct the Estate Agent, Solicitor and any other costs.
I really don't know what's reasonable these days, but the resale clause looks steep to me.0 -

Pics 7 and 8 anyone for a disco?
They have the same clock on the kitchen wall that I have. Pics 6 and 7You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friend's nose.0 -
I thought it must mean something along those lines - ie Gaia says "It's mine and stop despoiling me".
I've not encountered that poem before - but I rather like it and the plaque and would be keeping it personally if I bought the place and making a point of mentioning it when appropriate (ie if any firm ever turned up on my doorstep hoping to bribe me to accept fracking nearby without protest:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:).0 -
I will call it - A Symphony in Beige

Wonder what they've done to it to make it worth £320K more than they paid for it in March?
Or is the property market there going up that fast?0 -

SPCome on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.0 -

The site is probably what they're after, and if whatever they propose to replace The White House with has genuine architectural merit......it'll probably be turned down flat by the council on sentiment alone!
However, as we all know, many plans go through on appeal.
Barricane Beach is more interesting than The White House IMO. Where else can one pick up cowrie and other exotic shells that have travelled here all the way from the Caribbean? As a child, I loved to go there, just to see what I might find.0
