  • I quite like it - provided the graves were removed.

I wonder whether they could be removed openly/officially or it would be a case of the gravestones all accidentally one at a time falling over and surreptitiously being removed when they did so....

I wouldn't mind the residents, but as someone with an interest in family history I'd be really upset at the thought of anyone removing the gravestones.

If I were the buyer of that one - you would be welcome to have the gravestones if you wanted. They wouldnt just be "binned" if someone else wanted them.:)

I'd find it unnerving to have something like that in my garden though personally - and have plans for what to grow in the space.

I like the house, and wouldn't be at all disturbed by the gravestones. I might have them moved to the edge of the garden if I wanted to make use of the space - that way, they are still there and can be read but wouldn't be in the way.

(And for the benefit of family historians I would proabaly take phoots and/or rubbings in case the inscriptions deteriorated)

The blurb says they can be moved, but I wouldn't shift them. I could design the headstones into my planting and possibly use them in a practical way for the shade/protection they offer.

After all, it's not as if there isn't plenty more garden, and with Blooms Garden Centre just down the road, I'd have my wares outside the gate and be undercutting them, soon as wink! :rotfl:

In St Neots, a few houses have the gravestones on the wall of the houses near the cemetary in a sort of cladding. I found that interesting!

I have a grudge against Webbers for dumping the location/ Street View details on Rightmove, and here's a classic example showing why.

What happened here? Did the house get truncated when they widened the road? If these are it's best sides, how does the one facing the road look?

And if it was "formally" two cottages, what is it now, informally-like? ;) A bit of a mess IMO, and in the opening shot with all those power wires, the EA does nothing to dispel that impression.

Finally, not happy with having a truncated house, the vendors seem to have condemned their kids to a similar fate in the garden....:rotfl:

Harsh I know, but life is harsh, especially when you have a dodgy-looking property to sell and an agent with all the photography skills of a....

Presume its this one, with the telegraph pole, right on the road junction http://prntscr.com/c0zib8

Streetview from a few years ago, presumably before the renovations were finished.

ETA: I have concluded that the EA was probably the second pic in your post and the photo was taken with him swinging from the telegraph pole :)

Yes, so that is the front.

Aren't EA's wide angle lenses flattering re garden size?

In this case though, I'd have gone lower to lessen the impact of the cables.
