Surely the question isn't so much about how much rubbish, it's why is the sturdy footwear needed? Are the floor boards rotten? Or worse, is one likely to place one's sturdy footwear on Samuel Whiskers?0 -

Unless you've got a room full of empty cupboards to put them, you might, perhaps, put them behind the headboard to keep them out of the way. Most of the time, in my experience, they end up on the floor covered in dust bunnies and act as a really good trip hazard in the middle of the night.
