Actually, they've just been on the market for the usual length of time in that area...Street View confirms this.

Quite a lot to spot in this 'spacious' house, which the owners seem to have some difficulty fitting into. Things to look out for include a highly-prized English Rose kitchen units, a Sheila Maid, an angel in a denim skirt and at least two enormous house plants.

I had to look up Sheila maid. My mil had one, she called it a maiden.

Pic 9 - What is that by the door? It's an 260 year old butler. He's been stuffed. The agent makes an oblique reference to this in the blurb: "More notorious still was Sir Nathaniel Thorold whose scandalous lifestyle and behaviour upon inheriting the estate eventually resulted in exile to Italy."
Pic 11 - is that really a teddy bear head mounted on the wall? I think it's part of the home cinema sound system, which sits behind the ceiling-mounted screen when its lowered.
Pic 21 - what were they thinking? Lady of the house asked her man to get some bath mousse?

"To the front of the house, an ash post and rail fence separates the paddock below the house, maintained by Jock and Ginger, the pet highland cows..." Not very well, I might add.

From the style of the building, I'd say 70 years, but longer if the air bricks are kept clear and the house is properly heated and ventilated.

Pic 5 confuses me a little...is it a reflection of the state of the room in a mirror hence why only a pic of half the bed and not the rest of the room?
