I think I'd be more concerned with the boarded up building.

Old council care home, boarded up when shut down due to budget cuts. Wouldn't worry me particularly, though the area isn't the greatest either.

Yes I was referring to the solar panels :)
I guess they know it's going to be hard to sell and want to get people through the door before they find out!

What is the issue with solar panels????????

The crafty way they've taken the photo so you don't notice them, also the lack of any mention in the property description.

Judging from the way they've tried to conceal them, I suspect any future owner of the house is tied into a particularly nasty contract - possibly something like being tied to a tariff but not getting any return from the panels because the company has installed them for free in return for getting the income from surplus electricity generated.

Ahh. That's why we bought our own :)

However if home owners are canny they would benefit/are benefiting from using the electricity generated. The FIT ( feed in tariff) BTW is calculated on all electricity generated not the surplus - so you can use all the generated electricity but still get the FIT on total output ...............if you have bought your own. The installers are onto a winner I guess, whilst there still is a FIT:(
