I must say that compred to the UK, some of those Eastern European properties do offer incredble value for money, but sweet Christ soothe my tormented soul, why are they all so unremittingly bloody ugly?

Seems to be tucked behind newer bungalows and next to what looks like a row of beach huts further along on street view-not really, but a figment of my overactive imagination.
The lands seems to have been sold off for new builds some years ago.
Maybe people who will spend £500K plus another few hundred thousand on renovations want total privacy?
I hope I was on about the 18th century Berwick property, but if you would remove the urban grot on top of the Pirate's House, or move it to that spot in Co. Mayo
