I think this property is worth the £400k for the lounge carpet alone.

Well they do have precisely one modern thing in that house, ie the wall tiles in one of the bathrooms are huge/plain/etc.

If that whole house isn't an advert for 'money can't buy taste', I don't know what is!

I thought it looked like a very nice house till I saw the inside ;)

We used to have neighbours with similar taste (or not, lol!) - he was a [STRIKE]drug dealer[/STRIKE] builder with waaaay more money than taste who moved into a very nice area and proceeded to wreck a potentially lovely property. Every six months or so he and his family would go off to Dubai (or similar) for a *break* and his minions would come in, gut the place removing all furniture and carpets and replace with brand new....think they lived like pigs (actually that's insulting pigs!)

Blimey  I wasn't aware you could actually do that

I always used to (half-jokingly) say to DH that I'd like to be buried in the garden of our former *forever* home, but didn't think it would really be possible........

Obviously did not do a thing to the house judging from the state it's in!

Dread to think how much it will be once done up to modern standards.

I don't like gardening at the best of times, but I wouldn't fancy doing any digging in that garden. _pale_
