Had a look at a house yeasterday - large 1970s detached property in .68 of amazing grounds! It is in a very desireable (but ugly) village with loads of 1970s bungalows with no gardens. The windows (21 of them!), electrics, bathrooms and boiler all need replacing. The vendor hasn't had any offers, just some chats with potential buyers. She is fairly motivated and the agent knows it might be hard to shift with the amount of clutter in the house.
Did some analysis this morning of SW house prices and village prices in the past 10 years and came up with a tentative value of 592k. Do you think I'd be laughed out the door if I came in with that sort of price? It is on the market for £750.
