Not so sure about the wooden floor, though. It looks like it may be laminate (can't find a description) so wouldn't stand up to similar punishment. Wouldn't want my bunker warping
Still tiles though, whether natural material or not:rotfl:
Agree that it's a sensible choice with regard to the underground location, but even with the addition of UFH it looks cold as a result of the colour. It just looks like acres of grey IMHO!
We had a natural slate floor - but with a bit more warmth/variation in the colour - in our 25' x 15' kitchen at a previous house and it always seemed unwelcoming in such a large space to me. I certainly wouldn't want it throughout. This time we chose antique limestone in our the kitchen/breakfast room of our *prone to damp due to location* house as it has a warmer, cosier appearanceMortgage-free for fourteen years!

More lovely subtle d!cor and a bonus spot-the-cat (who is NOT budging just in case someone switches the fire on). But the highlight is the "ensuite" bathroom (open) to the master bedroom - not only does the person in bed have direct eyeline to the person on the loo, but the loo is next to...the patio doors. Yes, that's the route to the garden. Enjoy

Undoubtedly, and don't forget, people will still want to visit your 'garden,' weep and lay plastic flowers.....It could be inconvenient if you are having friends around for a barbie.

You wouldn't want to dig too deep in the garden, would you? On the plus side, if you could squeeze a few raised beds in, any veg should do nicely. They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -
