It's only the lower classes who'd be spooked about backing onto a graveyard.
In my village, many of the most expensive properties are in that position. They get a rookery too for added ambience, plus the very occasional raucous afternoon when I turn up with my strimmer! :rotfl:

I didn't notice the graveyard just the terrible garden area. What a turn off !0 -

It always amazes me what others see....
The garden's small, overshadowed by the house and the trees, but essentially a blank slate and nicely enclosed. You'd be amazed what a few weekend's work and £1k could achieve there.
Perhaps it's like that to divert peoples attention from the roof, which I find far more scary! :eek:0 -
