I have done nothing today, I am supposed to be writing a report on what happens when you shine lasers at mushrooms (no, really, honest truth) and I'm bored witless. I sooo hope my net usage isn't being tracked :D The highlight of my day was finding a mini packet of haribo wedged down the back of my computer. :D

If I was trying to sell a house at this price level I think I might have chosen some slightly better photos:

And precisely what are those things in picture 5?

And one of the pics is clearly dated 2009 and I note the EA for a property in Portsmouth is in Birmingham. Altogether, an extremely strange listing - got to be a joke, surely?

I think the estate agent's camera broke and they've told all customers just to take a few pics to put on the brochure, or find out some existing pictures that show bits of the house. Mind you most of us could take better pictures than those on a 5year old mobile phone!

If you look at other listings they have a lot only have 1 picture of the outside of a building or apartment block (possibly lifted from elsewhere) and in 1 case just a picture of a marina. Others have a few pictures on but look fairly amateurish.

It's really weird, isn't it? I know the area where this house is quite well and they're seriously big, seriously expensive houses - you'd think they could afford to get a half-decent agency to sell the place for them! (And why pick one in Birmingham? I can't begin to figure that out!)
Back after a very long break!

"Views of greenery" - and I wonder if the pub is included :)

    "Detached house....with a garage"??

If you look at the floorplan, it's more like a detached garage....with a room on top (and a toilet) ;)

The crazy thing is though, in that area I reckon you could easily get a 500 quid per month rent for a studio flat that size without the garage. It's really close to the centre and the rental market is mad here because of the high numbers of students and temp workers. cel x

  • On this one:

Pic 1 - always good to have a weird painting of a topless woman close to the front door

Pic 7 - looks like they are running a very posh teddy bear hospital

Pic 9 - the obligatory twigs in a vase - the smallest I have ever seen!

What are 'port hold' style windows, lol :rotfl: Some estate agents really need lessons in grammar and spelling...........on my Right Move visits I keep seeing the term 'sort after' instead of 'sought after' too :p
