T-Mobile/Fonesafe insurance query

Hello,
I wanted some advice about my old insurance policy. My T-Mobile phone was insured through them with Fonesafe. I cancelled my contract with T-Mobile last June (2010) and have been with Orange since then.
I've just realised that I'm still paying for the insurance a year later.
Now I know that a) I should have realised it before now and b) I should have cancelled with them directly at the same time as cancelling the phone contract - but basically I'm a bit of an idiot.
I rang Fonesafe and they initially said I needed written proof from t-mobile that I had cancelled - once I sent that over, they would issue a refund. He then went off to check and came back and said actually, sorry, we can't. But you could write to our complaints dept if you wanted.
Do you think it's worth pursuing them for a refund, or should I just cut my losses? Terms and conditions aside, I find it galling that they'll keep £100 worth of payments for a phone that hasn't existed for over a year...
Any advice?
Chris.
