  • Morning everyone,
So far this morning i've been to one of those dreaded 'girly' nurses appointmemts and as I was up town did some shopping for some toiletries and camping bits for next weekend when we are away at a motorbike do. Went to the bargin shops to keep costs down.
    Todays list:
Walk dogs to work to pick up my rotas (they can't rope me into any office work if I have the pooches!)
Try to find some motivation to tidy up.
    Meals from stores.
Fill up car for my next 5 days at work (and fill can for camping lantern).
List a couple of bits on Ebay.
    College work.

    Have a good day everyone.

they're so thoughtful aren't they Josie?! I keep getting the 19-25 sexual health stuff sent through - like when was your last STI check :O how rude (but I dream of becoming a sexual health nurse - I think it's what I'm here on earth to do - teach kids how to stay safe etc - I'm a HIV awareness teacher for the British Red Cross in my spare time :D) xxx

    Good morning, all!

Thanks for starting us off, DNMS.
Goodness Wannabe I dont know how you parents do it!
I pinky promise to get myself out to more big shows, Perni :)

So last evening was a big success - boy and i cooked up some scrummy falafel, humus, baba ganoush and tsaziki, bought some pita and invited two friends over, one of whom brought delicious cupcakes. Om nom nom! Only issue now is that the other roommate (who was invited but couldnt make it due to work) is now annoyed at us for having done something while she wasnt around - sorry I guess i didnt get the suspend your social life please while my boss is in town memo

    Anyway, things on for today:
    1. Tidied room first thing in the morning so boy's friends who are coming to stay can sleep there when they arrive this afternoon
    2. went straight into important meeting this morning, took advantage of free tea and bananas :)
    3. meeting ran late so missed lunch provided by the office, - popped to the shack across the road for some 8 p street food samosas, yum!
    4. check banking and update budget
    5. possibly going out with work folk tonight, shouldnt be too expensive I think

    Roll on the weekend!!
    Mortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000
:DDebt free as of 1 October, 2010:D
Taking my frugal life on the road!
  • Hope your girly appt went okay Aria, I'm quite lucky I live in Scotland as soon as you hit 21 here you get invited for one.

    Hello fellow DFW's!

It's Friday! :j I didn't have a good start to the morning as a HUUUUUUGE spider appeared only inches away from me as I got out of bed  & by the time I'd screamed a little (yup, it was so big I actually screamed :o), ran downstairs calling my OH's name, & he'd come back up with me it had disappeared....so now we will have the fun of trying to find it later :(:(:(

DNMS - Thanks for starting us off - do they still have some aquafresh in stock? I tried to get some yesterday & Wednesday at work but it wasn't having any of it...(stupid old computers!) & then thought about trying at home last night but figured they'd have run out by now, may have to try again tonight...
Josie - Mmm those cherries sound nice, I want some now! Thanks for explaining what a purge is, good luck today :)
Welshwoofer - Glad you're in such a good mood :D Hope the glossing doesn't kill it too much!
Tebheag - I do the same sometimes don't worry! & I don't have kids waking me up at 6am as an excuse...:o
Yargo - Have a fantastic holiday! Where are you off to?
Rdchick/Josie/Aria - Eeek! I haven't been "invited" to that yet but I keep getting the STI letters through! I actually did their pee pot chlamydia test once to be in with a chance of winning something (can't remember what it was now) & as expected, it came back fine, no prize though lol.
NTBY - Yay! :j That's a great excuse for you guys to arrange to do it (or something else) again soon! Just say that to her, hopefully it'll ease her jealousy & whatever other negative emotions she's putting on you.

hi peeps. took disabled daughter to day centre. Enquired about them picking her up and bringing her home to save me on petrol (its all part of the service they offer). 3 loads of washing done and 4th later. Thinking about what to do for tea, big asda shop done the other day so freezer full. Cleaned house from top to bottom and opened all the windows. Took other daughter to her friends for a sleepover. all loads of washing are drying nicely outside. Have a good day all.
life is what you make it, make it fun !
