When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym. :money:

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Morning!! :hello: I was up with the larks & I am raring to go today :D:D who is with me on this fine morning??? :grin:_party_:grin:

Today:
  • chicken curry in the SC this morning
  • I've put on a load of washing & will line dry
  • brekkie & lunch from the stores - need to pop to Mr S for a couple of bit though... try not to spend any other money
  • go for a walk in lunch break
  • check banking
  • make banana bread to use up the bananas
  • go for a run after work
  • reread Martin's email and ordered some aquafresh :money:
  • checked banking & cc statement
Ok that's all I can think of. Happy Friday every one x

    Gooooood morning!
I have already been a bad little DFW'er this morning after having popped into Mr T's on the way into work (forgot to buy nuts) and REALLY fancied some juicy fresh cherries!
    Here is me today:-
    - Checked banking
    - Breakfast from stores
    - Yummy tuna salad followed by HM jelly for lunch
    - Keep an eye on ebay
    - Try to sell a purge (couple of opportunities)
    - Drive to DB2's house tonight near Oxford, added diesel last night with £10 Mr T's voucher. Bro will prob give this back.
    - DB2 cooking me lasagne for dinner
    - Work hard and stay chilled
    - Do not text the boy, he can start first
    - Try to locate DB3, he's been MIA for the past week or so
    - Keep fitness app up to date
    - 1 x HC on airer
    - Definately sparkle! Xxx

    Jx
Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!

Morning all - thanks to DNMS for starting us off today.

Woke up feeling positive and raring to go - first time in ages! Amazing what sleeping through the night does for you. I think its the first proper sleep I've had in about a year! Mental isn't it!

So today I've already taken the dog for a half hour walk and the rest to follow...
    • Put dry washing away Done
    • Do another load of washing
    • Take payslips I found yesterday to the bank for the mortgage lady (save her writing to the school) (good job I did a big paperwork declutter yesterday:o) Done
    • Take up carpet in spare room ready for new one tomorrowDone
    • Take up hall carpet ready for new wood floor - exciting Done
    • Take old carpets to the tip Done
    • Move new furniture for spare room from conservatory where its been stored to upstairs ready for putting in situ when the carpet is done so I won't be in the way of the floor fitter tomorrow and can get the spare room sorted whilst the man is working on downstairs Done
    • Got an email to say my first two free DVDs from Love film are on the way just in time for the weekend
    • Finish glossing flipping skirting boards:mad: - i hate this job Done - hurrah!
    • All food from stores Done
    • Check bank Done
    • Tidy kitchen up a bit (nothing much needs doing but new floor in there tomorrow too!)
    • Email friend to say I'd love to take her up on her invitation to go to see her Done
    • Ring kennels to book dog in for 1 night (sorry pooch but you can't come this time!) Done
That's all for now - should keep me out of trouble!
