Even if you are on BG Standard Rate tariff(the most expensive)you have used approx 29,000kWh in a quarter(with your actual reading) If you are on a cheaper tariff you will have used even more kWh.
Whilst Ebico will be a lot cheaper it will still be a huge bill.
I have heard that Gas Agas use huge amounts of gas, as do some types of gas fire, so they are the most likely causes of your huge consumption.0 -

Sorry...but to me even that seems high...over £300 for the summer months?? I paid less than that for having the heating on full blast all last winter....my summer bill was practically non-existent.....remind me never to get an aga....Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. This may be a good reason to always check to see old utility bills before buying or renting a new place, more emphasis on buying. If it is the aga then the utility company computer could be used to the bills taking this pattern, hence the accurate estimate.
And as this aga could be costing you roughly £1600 in excess gas costs per year it is probably a good idea to either get it serviced or get it replaced with a modern efficient boiler.
You can also try turning all gas units off, and look at the dial on the meter is it turning? if there is a pilot light on the aga look into how you can turn that off aswell, maybe there is a tap on the feeder pipe to the aga. The dial should stop turning completely.0 -

Wow. The smallest gas Aga cooker(without any central heating) uses 22,100kWh pa for average use and presumably in perfect working condition.0
