? RandomPerhaps the "you can dress down" comment is a test?!?!
Silly test if so. They won't mess with your mind like that.
I'd go in a suit you're better to be overdressed than underdressed. And you can always remove jacket and tie. Rolling sleeves up if everyone is casually dressed.
It doesn't matter what the other staff are wearing, they already work there.

Ive got the same problem as the OP today, im considering a jumper with shirt and tie, in this heat wouldnt wear a suit as id be getting uncomfortable.0

Shirt and tie is the core of it, people understand its really hot. I recruit on a regular basis and would expect people in a suit as a jacket could always be removed.
No tie however is an almost unforgiveable sin - they would have to be a very good candidate to progress any further.0 -
Probably best to wear something smart but not too formal. Remember to be yourself, and your clothes are a part of your personality. If your feeling confident in your outfit then likely the interview will go better.0

I am a bloke and in my current role (also admin) I was told similar and again it was a Friday, I chose a bright solid coloured sports jacket and navy chino slacks with a pale blue shirt and tie. Other candidates wore either blazer and slacks or odd jacket and slacks with shirt and tie, except one who had "dad" jeans, an open necked shirt with gold chain and a leather bomber jacket and enough fake tan to oil up a battleship - he was also the oldest candidate:eek:The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Women don't often wear ties though. OP is a lady. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

I am a female so I will not be wearing a shirt and tie. I was going to wear a smart business wear dress with a suit jacket.
As a fellow girl, I would normally wear a business style dress with a cardigan to an interview. I don't really "do" suit jackets to be honest but that's just me.
I agree with others about possible colourful accessories! Or I'd say if you had a smart/casual dress you could probably get away with I'd go for that!
