Reducing the cost of 3 mobile broadband by threatening to leave

As per title

I was on their 5gb allowance at £15.99 / month (1 month rolling contract)

Phoned up to say I was cancelling & they offered

a) increase in allowance to 15gb at same cost
b) same allowance at £8 / month

I accepted a) - effectively getting the same deal as people locked into a 24 month contact but on a 1 month rolling contract

Few days later when the 15gb had kicked in I phoned up again to cancel

This time I was offered 15gb for £10.99 / month which I accepted again

If anybody has been offered a better deal than this then let us know
