if a store gave me vouchers then I woudl accept them but it would not buy silence if the shop is not operating legally and hygienically.

gyzmo - understand what you meant by tests now - you meant at what stage in production of product the insect was introduced, whether or not it had been cooked. An uncooked insect though, they would nto be able to tell if it came into packaging in shop or home unless still sealed.

Some years ago there was a report in the Southampton evening paper about a store being fined for selling a packet of frozen French beans with a dead mouse in it.

The report said they were charged with selling food "with a foreign body in it"...........

silkysmooth69, I think you should post a picture of all your vouchers, just to show all they nay-sayers that you really did get them.

That'll teach them not to call you a liar and they'll all have to eat humble pie and apologise to you. Go on. Do it.

Or have you perhaps spent them all already?

My OH got a £200 from BhS a few years ago after finding a cooked beetle in his brussell sprouts that he was eating in the cafe. He was about to put it in his mouth (yuk)!

All insects must be cooked at 170 degrees centigrade for at least 11.6 minutes in order to be eaten safely by humans.
