Lack of pictures?

Good afternoon have found a lovely bungalow for sale for £139.950 in the description it says needs work and there is only 1 picture of the outside. Is this because chances are it's a complete dog inside and the agents don't want to put people off or is it them just being lazy?

Thanks for any replys

Yes it's probably grim inside and needs gutting.

Why don't you ring up the agents and ask.
139k does sound too reasonable for a bungalow in most places, it probably needs updating or more.
    But if you don't ask..
  • In your personal opinion would you say that price was right for a 3 bed bungalow in Southampton that needs gutting?

Goodness, it depends what part, Southampton can vary wildy according to location.
It sounds auction starting price and certainly something that would need gutting at least.
It sounds suspiciously cheap to me for a 3 bed.

I just had a look on RM, its on with two agents, the other agent has six pictures and it does need gutting.

Also its really only a two bed as one of the bedrooms is off the lounge ( i hate that), looks like lay out needs re-configurating.

Can't comment on price as I dont know southampton

they might not be able to get in to do photos - maybe it has tenants in it who wouldn't let them in, or it is unoccupied and they don't have the keys yet (say if the owner lives abroad, or it a probate or repo sale and the vendor hasn't passed the keys over yet)

It could also be unsafe inside for some reason.

Huh? It depends! It depends where it is and how big it is. Saying that's a bit like saying "139K is too cheap for a house". :D

Or it could be that there is nothing to photograph if its empty. A photo of half a dozen empty square rooms won't really tell you anything about the place - no features=nothing to look at and no sense of scale.

i wouldn't say it particularly a bargain, sholing isn't generally one of the nicer areas of southampton, but can't comment on the road exactly.
