3 Contract problem - cancellation for lack of coverage?

Hi,
I've recently taken a 24 month contract out with Three. Have been very happy with the phone and with the service/coverage in some areas. But work is a problem as I get absolutely no signal it says "no network coverage" and I cannot make/receive phone calls or get online. Will not work anywhere in the office, near a window etc or whilst sitting in the car outside the building, or in surrounding roads until I am about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile away from the office. It won't even pick up wifi.
I need the phone at work to be able to make/receive personal calls, especially any emergency ones, but also to get online.
Is this a valid ground for cancelling this contract even though I can get signal at home? The area is centre of London and I checked in a 3 shop about coverage at this postcode before taking the contract out. I took the contract out online via Quidco though, not in store. Am a bit worried as their terms & conditions say they won't refund if you've used the phone which I obviously have over the last 7-8 days at home and other locations but returned to work to find it doesn't work there.
As I said, have been happy with the phone, plan etc., but it's really inconvenient not to be able to use the phone at all at work.
Many thx in advance.

i believe they go by your service at home but you could always try and speak with them to seeReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0

If this is central london it sounds more like a temporary issue ie a mast/cell down i've never failed to get a signal anywhere in London call into a 3 store and ask them to do a coverage check to see if a mast has an issue0

The answer is "No" as many, many, many, many threads on here will tell you. There are some successes, but that often is due to a change of service not because you didn't check coverage before you took out the contract.
It's like asking for a refund on a new car because you can't get it into your garage. It's not 3's fault that your work is one of their black spots - all networks have such black holes. A fact of life.
Everyone taking out a 24 month contract - or put it another way - a £720 commitment should at least try out a sim from the network in all the places that they must have reception. OK - it may be begging or buying a PAYG sim to try it out, but the alternative is the mess you now find yourself in.
If by any miracle the network do allow you to cancel, please post what you did to get this as you will be in a very small minority.0
