    Well Done Mum!

That's one of the things which drives us parents to spend hours of our lives searching internet sites and watching this thread. The thought of 'their little faces lighting up' on Christmas day. I'm sure my girls will be thrilled (although I'm now starting to worry about the windows, mirrors, everything on the mantlepiece...........)
Make a point of telling them in the morning that despite all your efforts you have not been able to get them one, this will result in two things, the first they will stop searching the house every time your back is turned to make sure you've got one, the second an incredible surprise for them Christmas day.

PS I should have added a third guarantee of an opportunity of getting forty winks Christmas day.
Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.

Together we can make a difference.
  • Well the only non bundles ones appear to be:
    amazon
    JL
    wilkinson
    hmv
    play
    Game - instore
    woolies - instore.

Also GAME definitely allow partial refunds on bundles, which is what I am doing, buy the package, return the naff games. and once you total up quidco and game points, it doesn't half work out to be a bad deal. I've just received my RMA for refund, so will try to get to PO in the morning. Sweetest way to get a sub £180 Wii. And the large bundle stock doesn't tend to run out in 0.00000000006 seconds.

Gamestation don't do partial refunds of wiis. They've said it on phone.

If you WANT a bundle, then there will undoubtedly be loads of stock from DSG Group (Dixons, PC World, Currys) and Gamestation and Argos etc.
  • I'm still looking :o I ordered from Argos this morning but they "lost" my order & I had to go to work later to missed the other deals. Oh well, I'll keep looking!

During the last run on Wii stock Amazon released their Wii's (:p ) in several lots. Sometimes once a day and sometimes several times a day (and occasionally in the middle of the night).

So don't give up hope. My bet would be on Amazon showing more stock soon - but it's a case of being vigilant. Or just lucky! If I hadn't stayed up late last night looking for a Wii I wouldn't have slept in - which means that I'd have got to work on time - which means that I wouldn't have checked this forum at 8'oclock........and bagged myself a Wii. It's a funny old world!)

My prediction is that most people who are following this thread will get their Wii's before Christmas. I truly hope so (we bloody well deserve it!)

    He he he.... Bless them!!!
Must remember that if they decide to play it in my lounge. I have a new 37" flat screen going on the wall next week & you can bet they'll want to use that one on Xmas day.. Ours went 'pop' yesterday. Great Timing!!!!

Does anyone know if Argos stores will do refunds on Wii games if seal is not broken & only purchased yesterday?

I know they quote excluded from 30day guarantee, does this also apply if still in orignal condition?

Wonder how many orders Argos "lost"? When I rang to check as I hadn't got an email to confirm, I was told they had 14,000 in stock this morning and all went in about an hour. My order is yet another one of the "lost because the system couldn't cope" strange they still took my card details!!! Oh well back to the drawing board.

I bought 2 Wii's last week with the intention of selling one on ebay and keeping the other. My intention was to sell it in order to pay for the extra games and controllers that Ive had to buy. I havent listed it yet as the market on Ebay is saturated so I thought Id let it calm down.

Today my wife was speaking to a friend who was desperate to buy one for her family but hadnt been able to find one. Guess what? Ive just agreed to sell it to them at cost price. I thought to myself that Ive spent the last year chasing pound notes and its about time I gave something back. Who said the Xmas spirit is dead?

Only problem now is that Ive gotta work out a way of getting the money for the extra games Ive had to buy.

I have gone the opposite also.

Last year, I bought 3, kept one for myself (not impressed) and sold the other 2 on ebay. I did manage to sell both for well over £350 each, so was in profit.

This year I have found it more enjoyable to find them for people who don't have the time or the internet for all this helpfull info and easyness to buy online.

I have managed to get 6 Wii's to friends and family and 4 Wii Plays to friands and family, all at cost price, I even lost out on one as it was a bundle but they only wanted the console.

It has made their christmas's and me a slight reputation for being able to get anything lol.

Money is nice and the more you have is even nicer, but helping people and making them happy is a nicer feeling then selling for a profit.

And this is from a guy who has bought things for £5 and sold them for £1,900 .

If I can buy something for £5 and sell for £10 then I do it, but the Wii situation, it's nicer to give.
