Just want to say thanks to everyone here who has been going out of their way to find Wiis for others.

I am among the lucky ones who got one weeks ago (and even managed to get a cheap Wii Play) but when I was logged on this morning and noticed that Argos had stock, I bought one for my friend's sister...her 11 year old is desperate for one but due to work commitments and the illness of a family member, she simply doesn't have the time to invest in searching for one or the money to pay over the odds from ebay. She has explained this to her daughter who is disappointed but understands and she has been promised that she will get one in the New Year when they are more readily available.

Hopefully there will be one happy 11 year old on Xmas morning and that to me is worth more than the few extra quid I could have made by selling it on ebay.

Nokia I thought you got 1 too, I've just rembered I ordered 1 from Play but think they have cancelled it, also I have 1 in my basket at Wilkinson but can't check out, but its staying there until they get more in, even if I have to keep this dam laptop on for days. Karen

A mse member did offer me one - but i had so many problems sending the money and it was not worth it in the end so the search goes on - I have had so much bad luck with Wiis at the moment

I managed to get one from Amazon.co.uk tonight....

When I refreshed the screen it came up buy new and used from £179, whereas normally it says £270 etc

Then I scroll down and at the top of the amazon marketplace sellers list was amazon.co.uk

Got really excited and placed the order.......then I checked the status of the order.....

Its says

The following item will arrive after 25 Dec 2007.

It tends to be saying that for lots of things. I think it's their way of saying hey we wont guarantee anything that way you can't complain and get a free voucher because you say you were counting on us to get you your item before Christmas.

What's the dispatch date ?

Thats really strange. I literally just placed an order for one on Amazon and mine says:
Dispatch estimate: 3 Dec 2007
Delivery estimate: 6 Dec 2007 - 11 Dec 2007

Might be worth contacting their CS to double check the delivery date for yours...

Check your delivery options. If it is set to super saver, try upgrading it to 1st class or Express - then see if that brings the date forward.

I searched all over Newcastle for one for a friend yesterday,no luck anywhere.
Went to the Metro Centre today and managed to find one in a small electrical shop,but 299 pounds :mad: for the console + 1 game,had to pay it as it's for a 9 year old,what can you do !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rolleyes:
